Ledcor Technical Services has built and serviced communication networks for customers across North America since 1979. With a strong commitment to innovation and excellence, we are seeking highly motivated and experienced Telecommunications Field Construction Managers to join our team throughout the states of Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and West Virgina, as we are experiencing a large amount of growth with a very large-scale long-term fiber to the home deployment project. We are searching for several highly talented indivudals for this project!

As a Field Construction Manager, you will play a pivotal role on our team. You will be responsible for the smooth functioning of day-to-day field operations to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Due to your experience with construction practices, you will develop and implement the project plan and schedule, ensuring safety and quality control as well as delegating work to field staff, contractors, and trades people.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Will ensure that projects are built according to approved plans, specifications, shop drawings, and applicable building codes and that high-quality standards are maintained

  • Will participate in the development of Project Quality Plan (PQP) and manages PQP conformance on site

  • Strives to create a workplace environment where safety is prioritized above all else, ensuring compliance with and often exceeding the standards set by corporate policies and government agencies

  • Maintains a vigilant oversight of project schedules, anticipating and resolving issues to ensure timely delivery

  • Identifies and evaluates the potential financial consequences of change orders, ensuring that project budgets remain aligned with project goals

  • Coordinates the activities of field teams, ensuring that resources are utilized effectively and that operational objectives are met

  • Maintains a strong working relationship with subcontractors, providing guidance and support while holding them accountable for meeting project requirement

  • Oversees the procurement process from requisition to invoice, ensuring that all documentation is complete and accurate

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of managing telecom construction projects, with at least three years of experience in supervisory roles

  • In-depth understanding of construction methodologies, documentation, and financial management

  • Ability to develop and execute project schedules, identify potential construction challenges, and implement effective solutions

  • Highly competent in communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders, understanding their needs, leading and managing a high-performing team

Working Conditions:

  • Site based position

  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 75 pounds), working at heights, in confined spaces and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
