Daikin Applied is seeking a talented and eager Sr Credit Risk Manager. The Sr Credit Risk Manager is responsible for the evaluation and mitigation of credit risk within the organization including the day-to-day management of the risk team. You will develop and implement risk management strategies and policies to minimize potential threats and losses. Location: Plymouth, MN, Hybrid

What you will do:



  • Develop policies, processes, and procedures associated with credit risk and the evaluation of credit worthiness
  • Complete project financial/risk analysis by assessing the risk of the Mechanical Contractor, General Contractor and Owner including determination of public or private financing
  • Understand bond and lien rights by state and evaluates project risk accordingly
  • Work with sales teams and assist contract manager with review of customer terms and conditions
  • Manage bankruptcy and legal issues
  • Trains all new credit staff in all areas of risk management
  • Collaborates with internal and external business stakeholders to implement effective risk management strategies
  • Provides final credit approval of all equipment orders
  • Monitors the hold status of open orders
  • Negotiates with customers and/or reps to secure payments before filing liens, working with legal experts on complex cases

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelors Degree
  • 6+ years of experience in financial risk management or related field
  • 5 years of direct professional experience in credit including experience with bond and lien law and applicable filing processes
  • 5+ years of experience leading people in a management role
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position



Preferred Qualifications:



  • 8 years of construction or building material manufacturing industry credit risk experience
