Position Summary:

The Welder is responsible for welding of fabricated parts to print and specifications. Prepare steel, cast iron, aluminum and stainless-steel material and parts for weld.

Work You'll Do:

  • Produce and maintain consistent quality of work, dress, and grind parts after welding.

  • Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress, emergency situation, priority changes, or new assignments.

  • Prepare steel parts for arc, gas or mig welding. Weld materials of limited thickness where finished weld is not stressed.

  • Work safely and in an environmentally responsible manner, practice good communications. Recommend improvements for area products and processes.

  • Interact professionally with customers in the plant, job report correctly and in a timely manner.

Team:

In this position you will be a valued addition to our Fabrication and Paint Dept where you will support welding of fabricated parts for the plant.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Welding test is required

  • High school education or relevant technical school training.

  • 1 year minimum

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 years' experience welding and fabricating steel parts and structures.

  • Blueprint reading experience

  • Precision measuring tool experience

  • Certificate of completion from technical school or welding certification.
