About the role:

CLA is looking to hire a Staff Accountant for our Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice in Minneapolis, MN. Our CAAS team helps our clients transform their business with a collaborative approach that allows them to seamlessly mitigate risk, overcome challenges, meet deadlines, and identify personnel to help them with their workforce needs.

As a Staff Accountant, you will:

  • Support multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Complete month-end and other quarterly and annual processing.
  • Day to Day Transactions: Coordinates & processes accounts payable, cash disbursements, accounts receivable, cash receipts, and payroll.
  • Month End Processing: Completes basic financial statements. Coordinates and completes account reconciliations (i.e. bank & credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals.)
  • Other Quarterly/Annual Processing: Completes sales tax returns, Form 1099s and other forms or items as requested by clients.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • One to two years of experience providing accounting and financial services is preferred, exceptions can occur based on work to be performed.
  • Technical knowledge of QuickBooks and other applicable software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
