Machining Instructor (Per Diem)

The University of Pittsburgh -Titusville's Education and Training Hub is seeking part-time instructors to teach basic machining and/or CNC operations for the Manufacturing Assistance Center (MAC). The basic machining instructors must be able to teach conventional machining including the operations of mills, lathes, grinders, saws, hand tools and the use of inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, optical comparators and Coordinate Measuring Machines. The CNC instructors must be able to teach G-code machine language, set-up, operation, tool selection and the care and maintenance of CNC mills and lathes.


Instructors must be able to teach basic machining and/or CNC operations. Instructors must have at least 5 years of machining experience working in manufacturing and have prior teaching/training experience. Should be able to teach day and/or evening sessions.
