Summary of the Job: Provide operational, lending and administrative assistance to commercial lenders to support growth of the loan and depository portfolio, to free production staff to attend to more substantive sales oriented aspects of their positions. Essential Functions:
- Provides administrative support to the commercial lenders by creating and maintaining weekly and monthly reports for Management, agendas and preparing confidential letters and quarterly marketing materials.
- Prepare approved loan packages for processing by analyzing the approved loan package and completing the necessary documentation for the loan processors.
- Assist commercial lenders in preparation of commercial loan packages, including gathering of all required information from prospect, internal customers and third parties, as needed, to complete the loan request. Coordinate delivery of the request, if necessary to the appropriate approval individual/committee.
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the loan closing process, as appropriate, after all documentation has been received from processor or external resources.
- Review and prepare draw requests of customers and process for approval of the commercial lender.
- Process loan payments and pay downs.
- Research all billing questions and oversee resolution to errors, and delinquencies.
- Review daily systemic NSF items for assigned officer and involve in decision making as authority levels dictate.
- Research, confirm and provide oversight to credit and collateral exceptions listed on exception report, especially for new and renewed loans. Coordinate with credit analysts to update discrepancies.
- Provide daily assistance to customer service requests and resolving customer concerns as they arise.
- Understands and agrees to abide by the policies and procedures established at Southside Bank.

Necessary Skills:
- Ability to write information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to work with financial and non-financial information as it relates to finance accounting and business concepts.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Produce high quality documents/presentations using a variety of software.
- Detail oriented, well organized, and able to manage time and multi-task to accomplish a variety of tasks, sometimes with conflicting priorities and timelines.
- Maintain professionalism in a fast paced environment, dealing with moderately complex issues and managing conflicting priorities.
Required Education/Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of college or equivalent certification or work experience.
- Five (5) years' experience in a Loan Administrative or Commercial Loan documentation role required; customer service accustomed to working under tight deadlines.
- Work experience in perfection of commercial liens (UCC, commercial real estate & vehicles) field valued.
- Experience in commercial real estate lending is preferred with the ability to handle/manage more complex commercial real estate type transactions in excess of $5,000,000.
- Experience with commercial real estate transactions that include closing, documenting, modifying, and renewing CRE loans.
- Notary preferred.
Physical Activity/Dexterity:
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers. Works with fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
Physical Environment Demands:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to visit other offices, conference rooms, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and telephone.
- Constantly positions self to operate on a computer.
- The person in this position frequently communicates with other people throughout each day. Must be able to exchange accurate information when conversing.
Working Conditions/Environment:
- Well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation.
- Moderate noise (e.g. business office with computers and printers, light traffic).
Work Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Available for overtime as needed.
