Summary

Summary:
Develops, coordinates, delivers and evaluates all Phlebotomy and lab systems training programs for NorDx staff. Participates in departmental and organizational short and long-range planning to assess future Phlebotomy training needs. Participates in Learning and Development projects as assigned.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: A Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Training and development experience is preferred with a background in Phlebotomy, curriculum development, instructional design, and presentation skills. A background in laboratory sciences a strong plus. 2. License/Certifications: Certification as a clinical laboratory practitioner, preferably in Phlebotomy required. 3. Experience: See "Education." Has 1-3 years of applicable Phlebotomy/lab experience and conducting training. Experience in curriculum development and program management preferred. Will be responsible for managing the Phlebotomy School and all Phlebotomy and system-related training. 4. Strong project management skills. 5. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and experience with using an authoring tool for developing e-learning programs such as C aptivate. Ability to learn and maintain other software programs including computer-based learning software, and specific Lab systems such as NorDx Now, SC C , EPIC , Soft Media, etc. 6. Effective communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. 7. Organized and detail oriented; ability to multi-task. 8. Well-developed interpersonal skills necessary to provide effective instruction, guidance and leadership for the staff as well as effective communication with both internal and external clients. 9. Ability to deal with complex technical/management problems, meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks often under stressful conditions. 10. Must be able to work any shift, and/or weekend as needed. 11. Must be able to travel among company sites as needed.
