INVISTA is seeking a skilled Construction Lead to join our dynamic team in Houston, TX. This role focuses on providing comprehensive construction services to support our Construction division and project management personnel, ensuring the successful delivery of industrial projects.

What You Will Do
* Project Management: Review project requirements, including materials, labor, equipment, and contractor needs. Manage the entire project lifecycle, overseeing scope, EHS performance, schedule, resources, risk, and quality. Review project schedules and staffing plans, communicating them to supervisors.
* Communication: Maintain clear communication with customers, employees, and leadership regarding project status and issues.
* Project Monitoring: Ensure project success by monitoring progress, assessing risks, anticipating issues, and taking proactive measures to keep projects on track.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering teams during FEL (Front-End Loading) and conduct constructability reviews.
* Evaluation: Evaluate contractor bids, budget proposals, and design-build proposals.
* Site Visits: Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with schedules, safety standards, project specifications, and overall project status.
* Budget Tracking: Work with project controls to track budget vs. actual costs, contractor manhours, productivity, change orders, and manage punch-list processes.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* 5+ years' experience in construction related roles
* Ability to travel up to 75% of time, primarily in the Gulf Coast region
* Experience in industrial construction
* Proficiency in evaluating cost estimates
* Experience with construction project documents (drawings, subcontracts, addenda, specifications, and change orders)
* Experience in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera)
* This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead
* Proficiency in performing material take-offs from technical drawings
* Knowledge of Electrical design techniques
* In-depth understanding of current building and NEC code requirements
* Experience reading and interpreting Electrical plans and specifications
* Experience managing construction projects focused on Instrumentation and Electrical systems
* Experience working within the chemical industry
* Experience with construction management software (e.g., Procore)
