Summary:

Tippett Plant is seeking a supervisor who is a self-motivated individual with a high regard for safety and integrity.

Essential Functions:



  • Supervises day-to-day plant operations to meet required production rates and monitors operating data to minimize problems and downtime.
  • Ensures that established regulatory environmental and safety standards are maintained. Supervises all emergency response activities and decisions relative to the safety of the plant.
  • Supervises subordinates in performing their job duties in a safe and efficient manner. Administers performance reviews for subordinates and administers disciplinary action when warranted. Ensures all departmental manuals are kept current.
  • Develops and administers training courses pertinent to Operations to ensure personnel qualifications are maintained to comply with all regulatory requirements.
  • Develops and maintains operational procedures to ensure a safe and efficient operation. Ensures operating parameters are within the limits of the design of the equipment.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings, help coordinate safety and environmental training and manage required periodic safety & environmental inspections.
  • Tippett Supervisor will report to Tippett Plant Manager.


Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

Required Education:



  • High school diploma or equivalent


Essential Requirements:



  • 8+ years industry experience required.
  • Ability to function as PSM lead
  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Basic computer use skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Take call to relieve other employees as needed


Preferred Skills:



  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Plant DCS and SCADA
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of Caterpillar natural gas engines, Ariel compressor packages and Propane compression
  • Understanding of plant liquids, liquid stabilizer and stabilized product
  • NGL/Liquid Amine treating
  • Ethylene Glycol treating system and regeneration
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be familiar with Steers flare reporting system
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

  • Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and other adverse weather conditions
  • Work may include confined spaces and may require heavy lifting in excess of 50lbs with or without assistance
  • Work in and around industrial and construction settings, which may include hazardous products, processes, materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and may require appropriate personal protective equipment (which may include, but may not be limited to, necessary respirators)
  • Work on and around equipment and facilities that require knowledge of and adherence to safe work procedures and practices
  • Subject to call-outs to respond to operational issues and emergencies after working hours, at night, and on weekends and holidays
  • Reliable attendance at work
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required
