Job Description

General Summary:

This position is responsible for leading, coaching, motivating and training a sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales goals. Customer interaction and communication is also critical to ensure the right solution for our customers.

Essential Job Functions:



  1. Lead, motivate and coach a sales team to successfully reach monthly sales goals.
  2. Enforce quota expectations.
  3. Provide weekly/monthly forecasts.
  4. Measure KPI's for team and individual performance.
  5. Provide feedback and 1:1 coaching for continuous sales improvement and success.
  6. Monitor performance of team members via side-by-side observation, call monitoring, call statistics and other tools available to improve effectiveness of sales calls and organization skills.
  7. Enhance team competence by training, mentoring and guiding on product and procedural questions.
  8. Participate in client communications as needed.
  9. Assist team members in maintaining a high new business conversion rate.
  10. Be a change champion.
  11. Collaborate with other sales managers, upper management and other key stakeholders.
  12. Support company and departmental decisions in alignment with Company strategy and goals.
  13. Ensure team members provide best customer experience in all aspects of sales, service, quality, accuracy and professionalism.
  14. Address performance issues as necessary.
  15. Provide input and recommendations for systems, technologies, and processes that improve operational and sales efficiency.
  16. Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.
  17. Demonstrate company core values.

  1. Proven technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.

  4. Strong phone and written communications skills.
  5. Self-initiative and pro-active demeanor.

  8. Strong knowledge of Company products and services.



Education, Experience, and Certification:



  1. Bachelor's Degree, preferred
  2. 5 years of experience in inside sales*
  3. 2 years of experience leading, managing or supervising employees
  4. Sales pipeline building and reporting experience required
  5. Excellent at building strong relationships internally and externally*
  6. Adept at introducing, training and enforcing activity metrics*
  7. Positive, motivational style with hands-on approach*
  8. Excellent communication, coaching, listening and interpersonal skills*
  9. Proficient in MS Office, Excellent MS Excel skills, CRM software management
