What You Will Do
- Maintain a book of complex self-funded, level funded, and fully insured clients, provide both financial reporting and strategic leadership
- Coordinate and manage the overall work and projects of assigned analysts, providing clear communication of expectations, established timeframes, regular progress updates, and annual performance evaluations
- Assign clients, assess workload, and manage and organizes workflow within their team
- Provide feedback to service team members as needed, in support of their on-going professional development goals to ensure client expectations are met
- Participate in the hiring process for direct reports as well as additional department hires
- Assist with national and local office meetings, communicating information and updates
- In all aspects of client relationships, mentor analysts and senior analysts to support associate growth and local expertise development in emerging markets
- Regularly identify opportunities to ensure quality standards, including implementation of best practices and peer review standards
- Interact with client executives and client managers to ensure work quality across all functions
- Provide customized benchmarking, contribution, disruption, network, stop loss deductible and GeoAccess analysis to include fully insured vs. self-funded analysis specific to client needs
- Provide underwriting and IBNR analysis for medical/Rx, dental, vision, life and disability plans
- Perform high degree of analysis to provide BOB trends or specific prospect/client needs, summarize data to communicate in writing and through conversations with department, teams and clients/prospects
- Review team needs to assist with marketing template updates, RFP submissions, collection and management of data, along with individual review of complex marketing
- Review department BOB to include review of renewals for fully insured, TPA, stop loss, PBM coverages, cost, and contract terms to ensure standards are met
- Negotiate with carriers based on the targeted goals
- Engage and build key carrier and vendor relationships
- Take lead in client presentation of financial discussions and presents findings in meetings
- Interact professionally and timely with clients via email, phone and in-person
- Support sales presentations as local analyst subject matter expert for key opportunities

You Should Have
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Proven experience as a Technical Consultant or Analyst or similar role in the employee benefits brokerage industry for 10+ years required
- Previous experience managing or leading a team of EB Analysts required
- Attain and maintain applicable state Life and Health License in accordance with IMA standards
- Willing and able to travel approx. 1x per month required
- Must be located in Pacific Standard Time (PST)
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel required
- Must have strong knowledge of all types of complex funding arrangements inclusive of self-funded, level-funded, and fully insured plans
- Proven experience executing strategic direction of analytic solutions and tools
- In-depth knowledge of employee benefits programs, insurance products, and industry trends
- Responsibility for executing the benefit division's strategic direction of analytic solutions and tools
- Strong analytical (quantitative and qualitative) abilities
- Ability to identify modifications to existing methodologies and originate new concepts or innovation
- Responsibility for accuracy of analysis and peer review best practices
- Ability to perform well under pressure, on multiple work streams, and with tight deadlines
- Advanced communication and presentation skills
