Description: About Us: The Institute of Healthcare Delivery Design (IHDD) is part of the Office of Population Health Sciences (OPHS) which sits within the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Health Affairs (OVCHA) at UIC. IHDD applies human-centered design to healthcare delivery to break down barriers to accessing quality healthcare and to make healthcare systems, services, and experiences that "fit" people and enhance lives. Position Summary: The Visiting Senior Research Specialist, Healthcare Policy Innovation advances the Office of Population Health Sciences - Institute for Healthcare Delivery Design's research expertise, organizational capabilities, thought leadership, and business development efforts in health policy and healthcare solutions. This role is critical in connecting user research to healthcare policy and policy to innovative healthcare delivery solutions. They are responsible for all aspects of the project from development through delivery and perform complex study and data collection methods. Duties & Responsibilities This role splits their time across 4 areas: Leading research projects and relationships through IHDD's Healthcare Policy practice Supporting one or more Advising projects at a time through research, strategy, ideation and implementation Create research-informed thought leadership about Healthcare Policy and Practice Innovation Communicating research results and best practices in a number of forums.
