TEAM UP WITH US! The Retail Product Support Sales Manager is responsible for strategy, accountability, budgeting, CAT alignment, and process development for the Retail Product Support Sales leadership team. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Develop, recommend, and implement appropriate product support marketing plans designed to increase customer awareness, identify new customers, enhance market penetration and increase Percentage of Parts Sales.
- Plan, budget, forecast and execute sales activities that increase the percentage of Parts Sales, labor sales volume, parts sales volume, gross profit and promoting growth in percent of Industry New Sales. Accountable for all the activities performed in the field by sales reps via the regional retail sales managers.
- Analyze effectiveness of product support marketing plans.
- Recommend and ensure continuous improvement of product support retail sales in the areas of financial performance (cost control), customer satisfaction, and customer experience.
- Create and maintain a culture to meet or exceed customer expectations on response quality, timeliness, and overall customer experience for a regional customer support team related to the commercial retail business.
- Compile, analyze and deliver required reports for assigned area to management.
- Ensure strategic goals established for team and/or organization are achieved.
- Recommend strategic budgets to management.
- Monitor and manage assigned budget.
- Communicate with CAT and other dealers regarding product line and CAT initiated programs.
- Monitor and utilize all CAT and other suppliers merchandising plans to combat competition and assist customers in owning and operating their CAT equipment in the lowest price/value relation.
- Establish, innovate and deliver training to the sales representatives regarding selling skills/techniques, CAT product line, allied manufacturers, and our competitors.
- Supervisory Responsibilities: Manage and directly supervise multiple managerial employees. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and / or 5-7 years industry related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years supervisory experience preferred but not required.
- Broad understanding of policies, procedures, systems and customer service.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, decision making and analytical skills.
- Ability to independently solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables, where limited standardization exists.
- Ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
- Ability to develop and apply a variety of instructions furnished in written and oral form and from multiple sources.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Basic math and reasoning skills.
- Valid Driver's license and clean driving record.
