Description

JCFS Chicago is looking for you, a Clinical Supervisor to support and oversee our Response for Teens clinical services and directly supervise clinical staff working with teens (ages 12-24) and their families. Started in 1970, Response for Teens is a JCFS Chicago program specifically devoted to supporting adolescents (ages 12 through 24) and their families in the Jewish and general community. We provide prevention, outreach and counseling in a teen-friendly environment that empowers youth to make healthy life choices. Response for Teens takes a holistic approach to working with tweens, teens, young adults and their families. Our team of Master's-level counselors, social workers, community educators, and other youth development experts provide an array of services to meet the varied needs of young people in our community.

The Clinical Supervisor will supervise clinical staff and support the administrative needs of the Response for Teens team of therapists.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employee Supervision:



  • Supervise and evaluate the case management and clinical treatment approaches of the professional clinical staff assigned as direct reports.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and instruct clinical staff by providing orientation and ongoing training.
  • Make recommendations for continuing or terminating employment of professional clinical staff.
  • Assume full responsibility for the treatment of clients under their supervisees' care.
  • Lead weekly group supervision for clinical staff.


Administrative:



  • Perform record keeping functions and other administrative duties as required by the Agency, including written treatment documentation within the required timeframes.
  • Screen and coordinate intakes and assign new and transfer cases to professional clinical staff.
  • Oversee administrative tasks related to assigned cases, i.e. case records, quality audits, case staffings, and case consultations.
  • Act as a clinical resource for Response community educators.
  • May provide services and billing under Medicaid Rule 132 as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) or Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA), dependent on qualifications.
  • Review all case documentation with Medicaid Rule 132 involvement, ensuring compliance with requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:



  • Master's degree in social work from an accredited program.
  • Clinical state licensure in clinician's discipline. LCSW required.
  • Three or more years of direct clinical practice. 1 or more years of post-clinical license experience preferred.
  • Experience and expertise in working with adolescents and their parents/caregivers.
  • Supervisory or administrative experience preferred.
  • Able to work at least one evening per week.

  • Compensation: The minimum compensation for this position is $68,000 annually (final offer will be based on experience).
