West County Optometry has been a leading provider of advanced eye care services in the El Cerrito community for the past 20 years. The practice is dedicated to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care and specializes in comprehensive eye exams, contact lens fittings, treatment of eye conditions, management of eye diseases, emergency eye care, and co-management of LASIK and refractive surgeries. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and staffed by a team of highly skilled professionals, West County Optometry is committed to providing the best solutions for patients' eye health and vision needs.

What you'll do:

You'll engage in full-scope optometry, catering to patients of all age groups and visual and medical conditions. You'll provide comprehensive eye care, educate patients about their ocular health, and recommend vision-enhancing products. Supported by a dedicated team and equipped with the latest technology, you can concentrate solely on delivering top-notch patient care. You can expect to see an average of two to three patients an hour, five days a week with rotating Saturdays.

Job Specifications

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Doctor of Optometry degree, O.D. including Third Party Administrator (TPA) certificate of licensure

1-3 years of clinical practice experience with current knowledge of Optometric technology and practices; new graduates are encouraged to apply

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Strong management, leadership, and organizational skills

Strong business aptitude, self-discipline, and ability to deliver outstanding patient service

Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment in the performance of his/her job duties

Working Conditions

The working environment is generally favorable, lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
