Examines patients' teeth and gums to identify any oral health issues.
• Cleans teeth by removing plaque, tartar, and stains.
• Educates patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provides advice on diet and lifestyle choices that can impact oral health.
• Administers local anesthesia and applies cavity-preventive agents such as fluoride and sealants.
• Takes and develops dental X-rays to help diagnose dental problems.
• Keeps detailed patient records and maintains a clean and sterile work environment.

Education Requirement

* Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene school, required.

* Bachelor's Degree, preferred.

Licensure Requirement

* Licensed to practice in the State of Ohio, required.

* Passed the National Boards, required.

* Passed the Northeast Regional Boards, required.

Certifications

Certified in CPR, required.

Skills

* Robust communication skills, required.

* Demonstrates ability to treat and teach healthy and medically compromised patients.

* Possesses strong manual dexterity.

Experience

Six months of relevant experience, preferred.
