Lifespark Skilled Nursing Communities is looking for an Admission Coordinator to join our growing team!

Schedule: Full Time
Wage: $33-$36 an hour, depending on experience

In this position you will be responsible for the overall direction and coordination of activities related to admission of residents to the facility while providing superior customer service including but not limited to:

  • Interviews residents or resident's representative to obtain necessary personal and financial data to determine eligibility for admissions.


  • Confers with physicians, nursing and housekeeping departments and other staff members to coordinate and schedule the admission.


  • Notifies all departments of admission(s).


  • Assigns accommodations based on physician's orders, resident's preference, nature of illness, availability of space, and other information.


  • Prepares records of admission, transfer and other required data.


  • Keeps records of admissions, discharges and compiles occupancy/census data.


  • Must be adaptable, flexible to changes, and able to prioritize and organize work efficiently to accomplish workload within time allotted.


  • Maintains positive relationships with key stakeholders such as tenants, their families, staff, and the community.


  • Maintain a positive attitude in relation to customer service program.


  • Understands, complies with, and promotes all rules regarding resident's rights.


Qualifications

Experience and Education



  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare setting and complete understanding of all payer types (Medicare, Medicaid, HMO, etc.)


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Exceptional telephone and communication skills and the desire to work closely with senior adults is essential.
  • Must be able to relate professionally, positively, and cooperatively with residents, resident's families, and employees.
  • Must possess proficient computer skills, including email use.
