Daikin Applied is seeking a Senior Director of Operations who directs and coordinates multiple plant operations. Ensures achievement of company objectives by overseeing the direction of Production, Production Control, Shipping, Engineering, Safety and other related operations by performing the following duties through subordinate plant directors.

Location: Onsite in our Applied Air Handling locations

What you will do:



  • Oversees manufacturing operations business plans to include all program requirements, labor hours, production costs, backlogs, quality and other related manufacturing statistics
  • Provides input to the development of product strategy and research and development of new and emerging products
  • Drive increased consistency between sites to drive quality and CIP improvements
  • Establishes production and quality control standards, develops budget and cost controls, and obtains data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products ordered
  • Oversees the development of strategic manufacturing process plans, including personnel requirements, material needs, subcontract requirements, facility needs, and tooling and equipment needs
  • Ensures all established safety, costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met Utilizes Daikin Applied Americas (DAA) Operating System for full alignment with company goals
  • Coordinates manufacturing activities with all other functions in AAH and suppliers to obtain optimum production and utilization of human resources, machines, and equipment
  • Reviews production, operating and financial reports and communicates information to executive management
  • Establish and drive lean manufacturing principles in all AAH factories
  • Provides direction and mentorship to plant directors
  • Participates in organizational development to ensure appropriate and adequate utilization of labor, machinery, and equipment. Takes action to implement changes/improvements when necessary
  • Oversees the implementation of manufacturing schedules based on sales requirements and plant capacities. Maintains and develops capacity to meet customer need
  • Monitors production activities at all AAH factories to eliminate delays and ensure adherence to production and shopping schedules
  • Expanded focus on the deployment of the Rebel Applied product throughout AAH
  • Kaizen planning and execution which drives cost reduction
  • Partners with Corporate EHS Director to ensure a strong, proactive safety program to promote a safe, healthy working environment for all plant employees
  • Seeks to maintain a mutually beneficial relationship with the unions in all AAH factories and provides information in periodic Labor-Management meetings
  • Maintains conformance to budgetary limitations in all AAH factories
  • Manages plant directors by establishing goals, allocating resources, assessing annual performance, and determining individual merit and promotional increases
  • Leads operational excellence and continuous improvement within the extended reporting structure. Participates in Integrated Planning sessions every year to ensure alignment between multiple plant operations and company goals



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum 10 years related experience required
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
