Why Consider This Job Opportunity

The Software Developer is responsible for providing development and maintenance as well as support of specified systems, software, and IT platforms. This position will coordinate IT development projects with management, users, IT team, and vendors. The Software Developer acts as a project leader for software and business application development projects and oversees all information systems-related activities for specific client departments. Client support includes analysis of department systems, focus on adding value to all processes, and adhering to IT as well as company policies on information security and confidentiality.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)

  • Primary responsibilities include program development, testing, and documentation.
  • Analyze as well as design new applications and systems per company needs and policies.
  • Owns development maintenance of existing business applications and systems complying with thecompany's change management procedures.
  • Supports process re-engineering by involving users in process-flow analysis and work redesign. Emphasis on effective utilization of systems, companies' Business Process Reengineering (BPR) initiatives, or other technologies to improve organizational performance.
  • Analyzes and documents problems, recommends solutions, initiates corrective actions, and follows up on problem resolution and issue status.
  • Participates in project teams as ateam member or leader as required.
  • Provides technical advice on risk analysis and change control issues.

Miscellaneous Job Responsibilities

  • Provides training and development support to users on applicable applications.
  • Coordinates technical resources as needed.
  • Conducts User Acceptance Testing (UAT) sessions and development turnover processes.
  • Performs other job-related responsibilities and duties as assigned.

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • 2+ years of programming experience (C#, Python, .NET, Java, JavaScript, SQL, andother web development environments).
  • Experience in creating new applications as well as maintaining previously existing applications.
  • Knowledge of networking and database methodologies.
  • Experience in software development version management and change management.
  • Strong analysis and problem-solving skills with theability to diagnose and resolve complex problems.
  • Proficiency with oral and written communication and effective presenter.

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience with PowerShell scripting.
  • Web application development using client-server-side architecture.
  • AWS cloud application and API Integration development.
  • Automation of data transmission protocols (SFTP).
  • Data encryption/decryption tools expertise.
  • GitHub for codebase and version control management.
  • Project coordination experience.
