This position involves maintaining and updating the compliance plan, which is essential for the organization's operational integrity. The Compliance Program Manager will develop and implement ongoing compliance training programs to ensure that all staff are well-informed about compliance policies and procedures. Additionally, the role includes the development of audit plans, ensuring timely completion of audits, and the dissemination of audit findings to relevant stakeholders. The manager will work to ensure consistency and uniformity in the application of compliance program policies and procedures across the organization. In this role, the Compliance Program Manager will also be tasked with developing and maintaining effective tools and methodologies to monitor compliance effectively. This includes analyzing data trends and interpreting results to make informed decisions that mitigate risks associated with regulatory compliance. The position requires a proactive approach to compliance, with a commitment to continuous quality improvement in systems, processes, and performance. The Compliance Program Manager will be expected to communicate effectively with diverse groups, demonstrating diplomacy and objectivity in all interactions. The ability to manage multiple assignments, prioritize workloads, and work independently with minimal supervision is crucial for success in this role. The Compliance Program Manager will also be responsible for collaborating with various departments to ensure that compliance measures are integrated into daily operations. This includes providing education and training to staff on compliance-related topics and following up to ensure adherence to the training provided. The role requires a thorough understanding of hospital billing and coding requirements, particularly those related to Medicare and Medi-Cal, as well as knowledge of relevant healthcare laws and regulations such as the Stark Law and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
