*Description:*
Job Overview: We are currently looking to hire 4 Field Deployment Technicians within our Tech Support team. This position is critical for launching new offices for our Advisors. This person will work with various tech and business teams, as well as our customers to ensure the accurate and timely setup and delivery of tech hardware for our onsite deployment teams. This includes configuration and/or imaging, testing/troubleshooting, and documentation of new tech hardware to be used at our advisor locations. In addition, they will be responsible for inventory, asset management, shipping/receiving, and additional activities related to our remote office deployments. When not traveling, this will be an onsite position in our Fort Mill, SC office. Typically deployments are 3-5 days on the road, and are normally during regular weekdays. That said, sometimes we have to straddle a weekend where we show up Wednesday, work until Friday, then return Monday - occasionally there's work on the actual weekends but that's rare. As far as the travel itself, sometimes we need people in the air on Sunday so they can be there first thing Monday. We typically don't do back to back weeks, or if we do, we may do a full week, followed by a smaller 1-3 day trip to try to allow for some home time. Our intention is never to travel someone back to back to back but it does happen. Responsibilities: * Imaging of computer equipment (laptops) using SCCM, deployment scripts and checklists * User profile setup for Windows devices, including configuration of various productivity and 3rd party software and applications * Configuration of additional hardware including VOIP phones, network appliances (routers/switches), copiers/printers, etc. * Troubleshoot hardware issues and trigger warranty processes with various manufacturers as needed * Provide a high level of customer service to internal employees and customers on a daily basis * Shipping/receiving equipment from our variety of vendors and sending to customers * Weekly inventory process including organization and labeling for easy location as well as working with internal teams to obtain additional stock * Track and catalog equipment sent to customers (documenting serial numbers and assigning in ITAM databases) * Work with Asset Management team and vendors for end-of-life equipment for proper documentation and recycling of assets * Update and maintain documentation relative to this position in approved tools and databases * Drive continuous improvement by thinking out of the box for potential solutions or ideas around streamlining back-office operations and tasks. What are we looking for? We want a hard working detail-oriented person capable of working independently and as part of a team that is passionate about technology and loves process and structure. The ideal candidate will have a knack for organization and strive to improve their area. They will be good communicators and able to meet deadlines and be flexible with work assignments. Core Competences * PC hardware troubleshooting skills * Windows 10 and MS Office 365 * Asset Management Knowledge * Flexibility in work hours * Ability to work independently and in a team * Ability to learn quickly and apply knowledge to tasks * Proven track record of organization and time-management skills * Strong communicator with excellent customer service Preferred * Hands-on experience with networking and VOIP hardware/software configuration * Exposure to general scripting * ITAM certification *Skills:* Desktop support, servicenow, windows *Top Skills Details:* Desktop support, servicenow, windows *Additional Skills & Qualifications:* Our primary scope is limited to desktop setups (computers, monitors, printers, phones, headsets) but occasionally we have to rack/stack the network or serve as "smart hands" where we do the physical work but we've got somebody on the phone doing the logical configuration work. In order of importance, I'd say desktop/computers/printers, networking, phones, audio/visual gear are key attributes. Of greatest value to me is strong customer service skills, these folks are directly interfacing with VIP advisors and often the only technology resources onsite. They're certainly supported by an army behind the scenes but are front and center to any issue onsite. Second is organization and communication - these folks deal with a lot of changing situations and need to keep me and the project/program managers informed at all times because we're often asked for updates while the work is in flight. If I have to ask for an update, it means somebody isn't doing something right. Lots of people aren't cut out for this because we move we a very fast pace. Beyond that, need people who travel well because I won't have time to hold hands and know how to complete the intangible things like timecards and expense reports. With respect to years of experience, probably at least 5 would be ideal - we're not going to have time to do much hand holding once we walk folks through this once or twice. *Experience Level:* Expert Level Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms. If eligible, the benefits available for this temporary role may include the following: * Medical, dental & vision * Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital * 401(k) Retirement Plan - Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available * Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) * Short and long-term disability * Health Spending Account (HSA) * Transportation benefits * Employee Assistance Program * Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) About TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
