LSSI is hiring a part-timeReceptionist, Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Supports weekend clinic operation by performing clerical and supportive financial duties. Operates in a highly compassionate, responsible, and independent manner to manage administrative tasks of an outpatient behavior health clinic and walk-in crisis center.

Essential Functions:
- Answer phone calls and greet clients and walk-ins at the door.
- Provide information and refer calls and visitors to appropriate staff.
- Clerical duties (i.e. filing, faxing, copying, mailing).
- Balance and record payments in Carelogic on a daily basis.
- Collecting Co-Pays, deductibles on a daily basis.
- Complete MEDI checks and Run MaxRTE daily.
- Coordinate with Office Manager to ensure insurance verification is completed for new clients opened on weekends.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
Position Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Excellent communication, presentation, organization, and ability to work efficiently with minimal direct supervision.
- Proficient computer skills (including proficiency with Microsoft Office - Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint
- Ability to learn and utilize Care Logic (CL) electronic health record in order to perform essential job functions.
- Knowledge of mental health billing preferred.
- Ability to meet the public tactfully and courteously answering questions in person and over the telephone; communicating effectively and respectfully with clients and members of the community.
- Ability to learn and effectively implement de-escalation techniques.
- Ability to perform responsible, confidential, clerical work with speed and accuracy.
- Ability to monitor and control patient records to ensure required confidentiality, following HIPAA regulations.
- Knowledge of practices and terminology used in clerical, accounting, and in a medical setting preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively with counseling and nursing staff to meet client needs.
