Responsibilities



  • Monitor federal, state, and international environmental regulations, standards, and trends related to Hazardous substances / Refrigerant / Pesticide / Other Chemicals.
  • Support the preparation of materials and participation in discussions with government agencies and industry associations related to regulatory rulemaking.
  • Assist in representing LG Electronics in industry associations and working groups to the development of industry standards and policies as needed
  • Prepare and assist in submitting required reports and information to regulatory authorities in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Collect and organize data from relevant departments to comply to hazardous substance regulations.
  • Prepare monthly updates to HQ on the implementation of Hazardous substances / Refrigerant / Pesticide / Other Chemical regulations.
  • Research sustainable practices across product design, materials, and end-of-life management to meet environmental goals.
  • Perform timely registration and renewals for FIFRA regulated products.
  • Gather and organize the annual refrigerant usage and sales performance of FIFRA-registered products.


Qualifications



  • BS degree in chemical engineering and/or Environmental policy related majors required; MS degree preferred.
  • 1+ years' experience in related field preferred
  • Organizational Skills with the ability to work in a cross-functional and fast-paced team.
  • Must have strong communication, influencing and executional skills, and a desire to work in a complex and challenging fast- paced environment.
  • MS Office (Excel and Powerpoint)
