Genesis10 is currently seeking an Agile Scrum Master with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12 + month contract position. Responsibilities: Serve and support the Product Owner and Development Team in their quest to do everything possible to predictably deliver high quality value to customers Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example Guide and Coach the Scrum Team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values while also meeting delivery commitment Guide and Coach both the Scrum Team and the Development team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization and coaching the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and organization Remove impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis of healing and problem solving Facilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution Support the Product Owner, especially with respect to refining and managing the product backlog Drive Train ceremonies, host PI Planning preparation and execution, support the creation of a Program Backlog Requirements: Experience with User Story review, splitting, and sizing; Knows what a 'good' story is Personify Scrum and Agile Knowledge of scaled agile frameworks such as the Scaled Agile Framework for the Enterprise (SAFe) A good working knowledge of using an Agile tool such as JIRA. Track record of continued and recent education, as a presenter and learner, in Agile and Scrum, including training, conferences, user groups, self-study, etc. Knowledge of other approaches discussed in the Agile space such as XP Kanban Good proficiency with Microsoft Power Point, Visio, Excel and Word Domain knowledge in Investment Banking/ Regulatory Reporting Critical thinking and Problem solving skills Agile Pay Range: $63.94 - $71.94 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
