Position Summary
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a full-time Medical Education Program Coordinator to join our Office of Education team as the administrator of the Ob/Gyn Phase II and Phase III medical student rotations.
The mission of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology is to provide high quality, compassionate, patient-centered care to all New Mexico women. We provide evidence-based education and training to medical students, resident physicians, fellows, faculty colleagues and private practitioners. We increase women's health knowledge by pursuing innovative and evaluative research.

The Phase II and Phase III educational experiences assist all medical students who train at UNM in becoming better physicians. Skills learned will improve the health of patients, families, and communities. This is done through a combination of clinical, educational, and community experiences.

This position is part of the Obstetrics & Gynecology Office of Education, which encompasses undergraduate medical education (Phase II Clerkship and Phase III Sub-Intern and elective rotations), graduate medical education-the Ob/Gyn Residency program. The person who is selected will be responsible for:

* Coordinating and administering the Ob/Gyn Clerkship, a required eight-week rotation that runs six times and serves approximately 120 students per year.
* Coordinating and administering the Ob/Gyn Phase III Sub-Intern and elective rotations, four-week rotations that run thirteen times and serve approximately 25 students per year.
* Coordinating visiting medical student rotations, including review of applications, communication with students and the School of Medicine, orientation, and coordination of grading with students' home institutions.
* Extensive scheduling of didactic and clinical education activities.
* Collecting evaluations and preparing grade reports.
* Maintaining curriculum information in One45 and Brightspace web-based software.
* Providing support to faculty preceptors and lecturers.
* Providing support to and cross-training with other members of the Office of Education team, including the Ob/Gyn Residency program.
* Performing credentialing for medical students with various medical institutions.
* Performing a variety of general administrative tasks, such as filing, preparation of reports, and correspondence.
* Setting up for events, to include transporting materials across campus and setting up and cleaning up meals, educational materials, and computers.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

* Experience with or knowledge of medical education
* Experience gathering data, compiling information, and preparing reports
* Experience with or knowledge of UNM policies and procedures
* Strong technical proficiency, including with Microsoft Excel and AV equipment
