Statewide Director of Behavioral Health

Description

The Statewide Director will develop, implement, manage and evaluate various LSSMN programs, services and staff across various locations. This position includes budget planning and management; program management, policy and procedure development; administrative oversight of programs and services; involvement in strategic planning, business development, quality program management, community relationship management; and significant collaboration with other Statewide Directors, as well as the Senior Director of Behavioral Health.

The Statewide Director is expected to be a licensed mental health clinician (i.e. LPCC, LMFT, LICSW, LP) and willing to maintain a small caseload of clients as part of the role.

Position Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Master's degree in human services, health care administration or other business field is preferred.
  • Licensure in a human services field appropriate to program oversight is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in direct personnel management with multiple functions and sites.
  • Minimum of 2 years multi-site budget management.
  • Strong project management skills managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing, customer relations and services, account management and organizational development/consultation.
  • Demonstrated results in managing through complex systems and proven experience negotiating win-win agreements
  • Strength in hiring, recruiting, managing, developing, coaching, and retaining individuals and teams, empowering them to elevate their levels of responsibility, span-of-control and performance
  • Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool and experience working with information technology staff to develop and implement program evaluation systems
  • Experience and ability to use financial/performance/productivity software
  • Must have knowledge of behavioral health services and trends, including third party reimbursement procedures and billing along with state licensing requirements.
  • Driver's license required.
  • Able to interact/network with many different individuals from different interest groups in a manner which encourages initiative, collaboration and positive cooperation.
  • Able to balance community needs with program resources, making complex financial decisions in a timely manner and implementing subsequent action plans with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Able to interpret agency policy, state licensing requirements, and other regulations in the development, management, and oversight of programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to details
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to and passion for LSS's mission.
