Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for the supervision and operations of the Counseling, Advising and Transfer Services Center administrative staff. Establish procedures, providing training and scheduling to ensure outstanding customer service to students.

  • Manage the daily operations of the Counseling, Advising and Transfer Services Center.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, supervision, evaluation, and scheduling of the support staff.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting students, community members and staff with their questions and concerns, through email, in person and over the telephone, including referrals within Student Affairs and the College as a whole.
  • Maintain supplies, materials and equipment in the Counseling, Advising and Transfer center including program guides, advising materials, student use computers.
  • Assist with the Advising programming including assisting with intake process, completing facility requests, designing of publicity and advertisement and coordinating the setup of materials.
  • Schedule Counseling, Advising and Transfer appointments (including New Student Advising and Registration) each term by phone or in person.
  • Provide administrative support for online advising functions such as email advising and email advising survey.
  • Handle student complaints, troubleshoot and work to resolve issues.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


  • Qualifications:

    • Education
      • Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
      • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
    • Experience
      • Experience in and overall commitment to exemplary student and customer service required. 1-3 years in a supervisory position and proven leadership ability required.
      • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and creative problem-solving skills required.
      • Two (2) years of experience supervising student workers and staff preferred.
      • Two or more years of satisfactory employment in a high traffic, customer contact position preferred.


      Working Conditions:

    • Computer, copy machine and calculator.
    • Busy office setting with high volume of customer contact.
    • This position requires a background check.

      Hours: PM Supervisor/Closing Shift

      Anticipated Start Date: January 2025

      Hiring Range:
      Managerial 2 Hourly/21.00 - 22.50
