The Vice President of Product Sales Specialist is a responsible for developing global sales strategics to obtain growth targets within the assigned product family. This role brings a deep expertise and thought leadership on global products to address all industry verticals. This position will lead a team of product sales specialists with a deep knowledge of industry trends, product knowledge, and the competitive landscape. Partner internally with Sales Leaders, Product Marketing, and Product Management to execute the long-term strategy to grow the product family. Will plan, execute, and monitor sales growth across product lines in a customer centric culture.

About the Role:

In this opportunity you will:

Product Expertise & Education:

  • Lead a team of product sales specialists on assigned products, understanding their features, benefits, and competitive positioning.
  • Develop and deliver product strategy to deliver full solutions to the customers to deliver value.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to sales leaders and account teams, addressing product-related queries and challenges.

Sales Strategy & Support:

  • Collaborate with the sales leaders to develop and refine product-specific sales strategies, plans, and targets, including target segmentation, competitive analysis, and value proposition development.
  • Partner with Product Markets to develop strategies for sales presentations, proposals, and demonstrations.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify opportunities and threats, providing insights to the sales team.

Customer Engagement:

  • Work with executives to understand their business needs and challenges.
  • Develop a strategy for addressing customer advisory boards, and relationships with Fortune100 C-Suite Customers to further sales thought leadership over the long-term.

Customer Advocacy:

  • Act as a customer advocate within the company with the product management and marketing teams to represent the needs of the customers and saleson additional product features, functions, and competitive pricing.

Partnerships & Alliances Collaboration:

  • Partner with the sales team and the P&A team to develop and execute GTM campaigns with partners.
  • Participate in joint strategic account planning sessions with the sales team and targeted partners, develop relationships with key partners, and ensure that the partner attach metric is met/exceeded for the targeted products.

Marketing Collaboration:

  • Partner with the marketing team to develop and execute product marketing campaigns.
  • Provide input on marketing materials, ensuring they accurately represent product capabilities and align with sales strategies.

Product Roadmap and M&A Influence, including Product Marketing Coordination:

  • Gather and analyze feedback from sales leaders, customers and the market to inform the product development team to influence the product roadmap, contribute to the prioritization of features, and continuously improve our solutions and processes.
  • Participate in M&A strategy and due diligence for prospective targets.

About You:

You're a fit for the role if you have:

  • 15+ years experienced professional with in-depth knowledge of sales strategy, sales process and leadership.
  • Thought leadership.
  • Experience in serving as an advisor to senior management in strategy.
  • Customer centric approach with strong skills in influencing, negotiation, complex problem solving and conflict management.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, ability to thrive amidst ambiguity and adapt to shifting circumstances.
  • Excellent ability to develop and manage relationships with complex and global teams.
  • Organized self-starter with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and operate successfully in a complex, dynamic, fast paced, highly collaborative, and continuously evolving environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to successfully partner and leverage supporting team of Sales, Product Development and Marketing.

The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following metro locations: Los Angeles, New York City, San Francisco, Washington, DC. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $361,900 - $672,100. The location(s) for this role include one or more of the following states: CA, CO, CT, IL, NV, TX, WA and/or remote. The target total cash compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $329,000 - $611,000. The target total cash compensation range in other locations may vary. This is inclusive of both base pay and any target sales incentive. Pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay and any target sales incentive are part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
