Description Leidos is seeking a talentedMechanical Engineerto provide engineering oversight of TPS prototype production as member of the Advanced Materials Department of the Hypersonic Systems Division. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, Leidos provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions. Primary Responsibilities As an integral member of the TPS production team, the successful candidate will serve as a mechanical engineering supporting TPS production and improving current production processes with a complex, diverse, multi-organization team. This position will be responsible for production tooling design improvements, preparing first article plans and reports, dispositioning NCR's related to production, and interfacing with material suppliers. This role with work closely with the quality team to provide product assurance to technical requirements. The role will also involve collaboration with a diverse group of subcontracted team members, interactions with multiple government organization as part of a "badge-less" team, several geographically dispersed places of performance, and a complex multi-agency customer set including AvMC, Sandia National Labs, Navy, and Army.
