Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Assistant Director Operations - Process Improvement for University Enrollment Services.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

  • Streamlines and enhances the university financial aid processing and processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Works closely with the Executive Director, Associate Director of Operations and the Associate Director of Systems Support and other stakeholders around the university to develop and implement process improvement initiatives, leveraging technology and best practices in financial aid administration.
  • Develops, plans, implemenst, and administers goals and objectives as well as policies and procedures related to the university's financial aid programs.
  • Ensures that processing is up to date with appropriate jobs running and troubleshoots any issues.
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates current processes and practices and identifies gaps in processing in new and modified programs, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications


Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college.
  • At least five (5) years of work experience in financial aid operations in a related processing environment at a major institution of Higher Education.

Certifications/Licenses

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to manage change; foster improvement through innovation.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with users, management, and colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage and perform numerous and diversified requests with limited assistance in a demanding, fast-paced, and multi-tasked environment.
  • Ability to be highly motivated and imaginative.
  • Ability to handle considerable and varied responsibilities.
  • Abiltiy to be should be patient, tactful, and courteous.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree.
Equipment Utilized

  • Oracle Student Financial Planning, FAMS, Banner or similar mainframe financial aid system in regards to need analysis and award packaging, operating in large, complex environments.
  • Sales Force Case Management ticketing system for financial aid concerns.

  • CPS.

Immunization Requirements
