Job Title: Experienced Fire Alarm Technician Location: Rio Rancho, NM Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Fire Alarm Technician to join our team in the Rio Rancho, NM area. The ideal candidate will have a Journeyman license or ESJ 3 certification and experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire alarm systems. * Responsibilities: * Install, test, and inspect fire alarm systems to ensure they meet all safety standards and regulations. * Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing fire alarm systems. * Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with fire alarm systems promptly. * Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety codes and regulations. * Provide excellent customer service and support to clients. * Maintain accurate records of all installations, inspections, and repairs. * Responsible for conducting routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems * Use of ladder and/or aerial lift platform to complete testing and inspection procedures * Accurately document deficiencies identified during testing and inspections * Use of company software to document device testing during inspection * Generate alarm testing reports and related documentation * Follow and maintain a structured inspection schedule * * Complete assigned inspections on time Qualifications: * Journeyman license or ESJ 3 certification required. * Extensive experience in fire alarm system installation, maintenance, and repair. * Strong understanding of local, state, and federal fire safety codes and regulations. * Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Skills: * Familiarity with various fire alarm system brands and models. * Experience with both residential and commercial fire alarm systems. * Knowledge of advanced troubleshooting techniques and tools.
