Building Maintenance Technician II (Manheim)

This position is responsible for performing various skilled and semi-skilled duties in the repair, maintenance and operation of buildings, equipment, machinery, and grounds. Routine custodial duties (50%) and distributing of parts/supplies across the site, are also required.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to perform electrical, plumbing and janitorial work.
  • Must be able to work after hours when it snows and be able to operate a wheel loader and skid steer.
  • Maintain all buildings, property, equipment, and landscaping for the site.
  • Ensure all equipment is working correctly and under standards for recon department.
  • Ensure all buildings are kept clean.
  • Clean, dust, and wipe equipment, furniture, fixtures, etc. as needed.
  • Maintain supply inventory and stock supply closet as needed.
  • Maintain exterior of facility and outside grounds by performing various clean-up duties, such as picking up trash, operating sweeper, shoveling snow, etc.
  • Empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and comply with applicable safety rules.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such. Actively participate in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor, i.e., moving furniture, unloading and storing supplies, etc.
  • May be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
  • OR the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and up to 1 year of experience;
  • OR 5 years' experience in a related field.
  • Janitorial, plumbing and electrical experience required.
  • Must be able to operate a wheel loader and skid steer.
  • Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
  • Good communication and organizational skills required.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
  • Medium strength. Ability to lift 1-50 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.


USD 21.11 - 31.68 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $21.11 - $31.68/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, parental leave, and COVID-19 vaccination leave.
