Division of Plant Science & Technology Job Description
The northern Missouri soybean breeding program in the Division of Plant Science & Technology is seeking a Senior Research Specialist to provide comprehensive technical support of research activities conducted in our field research operations. The primary role of this position is to help support our field research operations and assist in the management and day-to-day operations of our field experiments at 6 locations across Missouri. As a part of our dynamic team, this role includes planting, managing the soybean crop throughout the growing season including weed control, harvesting, collecting field data, and maintaining our research equipment in proper working order. This position will also assist with seed lab activities including preparing cleaning seed and preparing seed for planting. Experience in yearly agricultural activities including operating field equipment such as tractors, planters, sprayers, and combines is required. Shift
Monday through Friday; 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required and Master of Science Degree is preferred. Major: B.S. in Plant Science, Agronomy, Biology or equivalent or work experience of 1 year with a Bachelor's degree. Anticipated Hiring Range
