Overview

This position within The Center for Family Safety and Healing will be responsible for working with the Regional Child Abuse Prevention Coordinator Manager to organize the Ohio Children's Trust Fund (OCTF) funded regional child abuse prevention activities in the Central Ohio region . This position assists in the oversight of project activities related to community prevention and early intervention services. The coordinator will help to establish and maintain working relationships with a range of community organizations, governmental entities, key external stakeholders, and internal departments.

Responsibilities

* Plans and facilitates regional prevention activities, communicates with governmental organizations, and attends, plans, and facilitates all relevant regional meetings. Ensures committee members are provided material to participate in regional activities.
* Engages community members in ongoing prevention activities; gathers information regarding county efforts and accountability to negotiated outcomes.
* Conducts relevant public meetings with county stakeholders and provides public education sessions or speaking events as needed. Maintains an effective communication strategy with stakeholders.
* Administers surveys to collaborators and workgroup members, utilizes outcomes to improve engagement and processes aimed at improving outcomes. Identifies outcomes to be achieved, as well as the measurement tools that will track each outcome. Ensure tools are validated and systems are in place to maintain and monitor participant assessments and data logs where results can be compared and analyzed.
* Aligns prevention activities with TCFSH's strategic plan and coordinates multiregional prevention efforts. Ensures prevention activities provide services to persons throughout every county in the region of various social and economic backgrounds, addresses child abuse and child neglect prevention, and promotes strengthening families and improving child well-being. Monitor's evidence-based, promising, or innovative child abuse and child neglect prevention programs for vulnerable children and families throughout all counties within the region. Supports additional prevention activities as needed.
* Organizes and oversees regional workgroups such as a needs assessment workgroup, prevention plan workgroup, etc.
* Submits routine reports to TCFSH administration, relevant granting authorities, and key stakeholders. Assists with managing relevant grants and sub-awards, collaborating with the Research Institute as needed.
* Recruits' parents throughout the region for leadership activities and opportunities, provides needed information and support to succeed in this capacity. Utilizes parent members to ensure outreach materials, messaging and services are engaging and family friendly.



Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related field required, Masters with Independent Ohio licensure preferred (LISW, PCC, PhD, PsyD, IMFT).

Skills:
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and lead groups of professional and paraprofessional groups, as well as to represent the agency to stakeholders.
* Familiarity with youth and family/social services/ mental health agencies within the region desired.
* Ability to develop PowerPoint presentations and demonstrate basic excel skills.
* Knowledge, skills and experience in child abuse prevention and early intervention activities, as well as an understanding of child advocacy, child abuse treatment services, and related behavioral health services in this region.

Experience:
* Experience working with children and their families with an emphasis on evidenced based prevention and early intervention services, and trauma informed care.
* Experience with project and grant management, professional group facilitation, and report writing.
* Experience in public speaking and public education.
* Previous experience in working with rural program initiatives in central Ohio strongly preferred.
