Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for Corrosion Control Analysts to support Army Aviation. This position is based in Huntsville, AL, and is contingent upon contract award. Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Provide technical expertise to corrosion control, COSIS, and NDT programs to identify systemic issues, and trends, and recommend solutions for deficiencies identified during evaluations, data source investigations, and inspections/assessments.
- Provide technical expertise to basic research and development of advanced development projects, relevant to corrosion control, COSIS, and corrosion coatings.
- Travel to Army sites/units to provide corrosion, NDT, and COSIS support through assistance and Stock Readiness (SR) / COSIS/ corrosion/ NDT assessment.
- Develop and implement Corrosion Prevention and Control Plans.
- Perform analysis, testing, and evaluation of corrosion-resistant coating systems and processes.
- Support Program Management offices with their component packages to determine material and performance requirements through military and prime material specifications to determine causes of corrosion, failure, and root cause analysis.
- Provide technical expertise and support in the area of corrosion prevention and control to include identification, analysis, evaluation, and documentation to determine causes of corrosion on weapon systems.
- Provide technical support for operational requirements at Army depots, TASMs, and other facilities to address material substitutions and process issues to ensure corrosion protection of weapons systems.
- Perform environmental document reviews and participate in reviews of Army specifications, standards, and publications to ensure corrosion-resistant, environmentally compliant coatings and commercial equivalent materials are properly evaluated.
- Perform data reduction and analysis of test data. Develop and review test plans in accordance with DI-NDTI-80566. Draft and review proposals, and provide final reports as required for corrosion evaluations.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 10 yrs. programmatic and/or logistics experience.
- Aviation aircraft/major weapon system maintenance, recognition, and readiness
- Knowledge and experience working with Army and DOD databases to extract data for analysis.
- Working knowledge of Army Database software applications such as ULLS-A, ACN, RIMFIRE, FMAS, ASAP, MCDS, JDRS, PDREP, and TAMMS-A.
- Self-starter, detail-oriented, and good organizational skills.
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time. US travel only.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Develop strong working relationships with AMCOM G3 personnel and management, support organizations, stakeholders, and peers through timely, consistent, transparent, and effective communication.
- Remain responsive and flexible to organizational changes.
- Possess oral and written communication skills for effective working relationships, interactions with customers, and exchange of information.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- Ability to intelligently brief and converse with all levels of leadership.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize internal and external tasks/projections.
