Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to support the efficient operation of our medical office. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities: * Acts as triage/receptionist for incoming patients and telephone calls * Schedules patient appointments for clinics, surgery and diagnostic testing * Assures availability of medical records * Prepares a variety of requests for patient diagnostic testing * May transport specimens * Receives/records tests results, notifies physicians of results; processes billing/insurance information * Sends out reminder cards/letters to cancel and reschedule appointments * May assist physicians in minor office procedures * Perform secretarial duties; keeps records/files; prepares reports/correspondence; may transcribe orders, discharge/admission summaries from tape recordings Qualifications: * Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting. * Proficiency with EPIC is a plus. * Strong organizational and multitasking skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality. * Friendly and professional demeanor. * Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures is a plus. * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or relevant certification preferred. Details: * Pay: $18 - $19/hr. based on related experience. * Pay cycle - weekly | medical, dental & vision benefits offered. * Schedule: Monday through Friday | 8- hour shift within the hours of operation (8:00am - 5:00pm) Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
