The M.S. in Public Relations Innovation, Strategy and Management (MSPRISM) online program at the University of Southern California's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism seeks a qualified Adjunct Lecturer to teach the course PRSM 540 - Influencer Relationship Management. This course explores how inuence works, inuencer-related functions in public relations, marketing, brand management and advertising, managing inuencers and ethical considerations in inuencer campaigns. In this course, the Adjunct Lecturer will teach students how to:

  • Recommend an approach to inuencer management that aligns with multichannel communication project or campaign goals.
  • Structure a communication project or campaign's inuencer strategies to leverage psycho-social-cultural perspectives on how inuence works.
  • Devise ethical and actionable inuencer tactics and strategies to achieve the objectives of a multichannel communication project or campaign.
  • Incorporate strategies to address diversity, equity, inclusion or access in a project or campaign that utilizes an inuencer.
  • Create an approach to evaluate the effectiveness of inuencer strategies in supporting a multichannel communication project or campaign's goals.

Requirements for consideration include a B.A., B.S., M.S., or an M.A. degree in a related field. Previous teaching experience, particularly online teaching experience, is desirable. For some courses, outstanding professional experience may be substituted for academic credentials.

The hourly range for this position is $37.87 - $46.96. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

USC reserves the "Adjunct" appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC, who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere. Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year, but in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.
