As a Manager, Chief of Staff, you will report directly to the Director, Chief of Staff for the Developer Experience (DevX) Product organization and directly support one of the DevX towers and its VP or MVP leader as a key member of their leadership team. The person in this role will establish and run operating routines for senior leadership, execute on special projects, and serve as a liaison between the organization and partner groups such as Tech, Finance, Recruiting, and more. Candidates should have experience with project, process, and budget management and demonstrate an engaging executive presence, exceptionally strong written and verbal communication skills, expertise in relationship-building, experience with data, an ability to solve complex problems, and the ability to manage multiple initiatives at once. You will be a thought leader and collaborate with smart and passionate leaders influencing results that are high-visibility and high-impact.

You will work to drive efficiencies, collaboration, innovation, and outsized value across the organization. We are looking for a passionate team member who loves diving into ambiguous and challenging problems. You will need to be highly organized and emotionally intelligent to work with our leadership team to drive strategic planning efforts, keep a pulse on team health, morale and engagement, and ensure key business priorities are successfully executed. The ideal candidate can connect the dots between good process and great results, effectively influence others to achieve organizational goals, and facilitate a vocal leadership team toward purposeful outcomes. Candidates should be self-motivated, with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, executive presence, and a passion for solving complex problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage the operating rhythm for the organization by successfully managing monthly business reviews, leadership team meetings, town halls, and more

  • Partner with VP/MVP and leadership team with strategic planning including financial and resource planning in collaboration with key partners, including the DevX Chief of Staff team, Finance, and HR.

  • Ensure readiness of high quality, cross-functional materials to be used in senior leadership forums

  • Understand the leader's intent and vision, lead leaders to drive and track the leader's goals and priorities. Tackle and solve issues through escalation and articulate the issues that need to be done to elevate the team and allow easy accountability.

  • Develop relationships within direct and extended team members to be able to act as an informed and helpful sounding board and thought partner.

  • Flex into special projects, providing additional support and thought leadership for top of house priorities

  • Drive engagement and inclusion within the team

A successful candidate will bring:

  • Demonstrate strong influential communications, including across levels, teams and organizations, and have experience utilizing oral and written communication skills along with presentation skills

  • Be an exceptional analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills, sound independent judgment, and meticulous attention to detail

  • Be capable of balancing strategy and tactical delivery

  • Be highly effective in rapidly changing environments

  • Have the ability to multitask with simultaneous projects and tasks, while demonstrating urgency, prioritization, and ownership to drive issues to completion

  • Be self-motivated

  • Act as a thought partner to leadership

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience

  • At least 3 years experience in strategy building

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters

  • 2+ years of analysis experience or strategy experience

  • 3+ years of experience partnering with senior stakeholders across different business functions

  • 1+ years Experience in the financial services and tech industries

  • 1+ years Experience working closely with executives

  • 1+ years Experience in finance / budgeting

  • PMP, CISSP, CISA or other industry certification

  • 3+ years of experience managing diverse operational functions, such as staffing, budgeting, executing high-level meetings and events

  • 3+ years of experience driving organizational change and operational excellence

  • 3+ years of experience writing communications and presentations for leadership and non-leadership audiences

  • Agile experience/certification
