POSITION SUMMARY:

The Sales Support Specialist supports customer pricing, contracts, invoicing, and other related tasks in efforts to deliver the upmost customer service to internal and external customers. This individual works with various departments, such field sales, shipping, and supply chain to maintain accurate and updated prices and customer information. The Sales Support Specialist has excellent customer service skills, strong written and verbal communications, time management skills, and strong attention to detail.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

  • Responsible for processing and delivering invoices (including Credits and Debits) for all Sales Organizations.
  • Ensure necessary corrections are made to prevent future errors.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships within the department, field sales, and customer network.
  • Manage month-end close and finalize reports and notifications.
  • Responsible for accurate and up-to-date customer information for all customers in SAP.
  • Provide requested data to field sales and internal managers relating to customer data and history (tons, price, other reports, etc.)
  • Proactively resolve issues prior to impact to the customer using logical and creative problem-solving.
  • Work with other departments to ensure a smooth flow of information and resolution of issues
  • Be the main contact on all supply-related topics to the field sales in the assigned area. Proactively communicate on supply chain topics and successfully integrate changes with field sales.
  • Evaluate each point of sales and Customer contact through effective questioning and problem-resolution skills to effectively and efficiently resolve issues presented
  • Manage hard copies of documentation for Sales Specialists.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned necessary to complete all designated sales support activities and maintains detailed knowledge of all sales programs to ensure timely and efficient customer service.

  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite, accounting software (SAP R3).

PHYSICAL DEMANDS INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Must be physically able to perform work assigned.
  • The Sales Support Specialist will be working in an office environment the majority of the time but at times will need to be physically capable of accessing all plant, terminal, and office locations as needed.
  • Tolerate working outside in weather conditions as well as exposure to industrial high temperature, noise and dust.
  • Access all areas within a site which could include heights of 120 feet, confined spaces, climbing ladders or stairs, and accessing tunnels.
  • Will be working in an office, mining, and lime processing environment.
  • The employee may be exposed to the following working conditions at our operational sites: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Metallic Particles.
  • The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, walking, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, talking, seeing, hearing and sitting.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% as needed or directed by leadership.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

PREFFERED EDUCATION:

  • AA degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Finance or technical related field or equivalent work experience in the field is desired.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of previous experience in customer service experience in accounting or supply chain/logistics shipping, distribution, or heavy transportation

PREFFERED EXPERIENCE:

  • 5+ years of previous experience in customer service experience in accounting or supply chain/logistics shipping, distribution, or heavy transportation
