Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Process Engineer to become part of Peraton's Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program providing leading cyber and technology security experience to enable innovative, effective and secure business processes. Location: Rosslyn, VA. Flexible for occasional telework - must be local to work location. Peraton's DSCM program encompasses technical, engineering, data analytics, cyber security, management, operational, logistical and administrative support to aid and advise DoS Cyber & Technology Security (CTS) Directorate. This includes protecting a global cyber infrastructure comprising networks, systems, information, and mobile devices all while identifying and responding to cyber risks and threats. In this role, you will:
Lead process support and serve as a technical resource in complex process development, troubleshooting, process optimization, and scaling up initiatives. Lead the creation of baseline process maps, identifies inefficiencies, and re-designs and re-imagine the process to deliver superior customer experiences.
- Act as process owner and demonstrates tangible benefits and value of the process.
- Lead collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify, analyze gaps, and document processes.
- Lead the adoption, success, and maintenance of processes.
- Evaluate metrics, identify and implement improvement strategies.
- Have the ability to work with data and analytics.
- Perform validation activities on existing and new processes.
- Monitor the usage of knowledge management resources, reporting on their effectiveness and managing related projects.
- Lead initiatives to foster a culture of knowledge management and information sharing within the organization.
- Oversee the categorization, indexing, storage, and access of all organizational knowledge, including various types of documents.
- Translate verbal description of processes into visual maps or other graphical representations to help identify improvements.
- Identify measurable metrics to demonstrate process improvement trends over time, and report on progress.
- Create and implement plans for process and knowledge management improvements.
- This may involve addressing inefficiencies in customer interaction processes, automating report generation, and other initiatives to enhance productivity and collaboration.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 9 years' of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience can be substituted in lieu of the degree requirement.
- Possess the listed certification below (or be able to obtain within 6 months of start date):
- Have a proactive approach, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for improving processes, knowledge management, and assisting with project management within an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate others and foster a culture of continuous improvement and agile execution.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria.
- Knowledge of process improvement techniques.
- Knowledge of process mapping and documentation techniques.
- Be able to meet established deadlines and handle multiple customer service demands from internal and external customers, within set expectations for service excellence.
- Must be able to effectively communicate and provide positive customer service to every internal and external customer, including customers who may be demanding or otherwise challenging.
- U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a final Top Secret clearance.
Preferred:
- 5 to 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in the Information Technology field.
- Experience developing and implementing process improvements in the Federal Civilian or DoD space.
- Experience documenting as-is and to-be states to demonstrate planned incremental improvements to processes.

Target Salary Range
$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
