Description & Requirements

The Forvis Mazars A&A Professional Standards Group is seeking a qualified individual to collaborate with our A&A Learning Team in the development of an integrated PCAOB curriculum. As a PCAOB Learning Specialist, you will be a vital member of the A&A Learning Team, which operates within our national office and the Professional Standards Group, with a dedicated focus on PCAOB and related learning initiatives. The A&A Learning Team will offer training and ongoing support in the areas of instructional design, learning strategy, and course development.

How you will contribute:

  • Work with identified firm stakeholders on the development of all aspects of an integrated PCAOB curriculum including:
    • Overall PCAOB training strategy
    • Course content development
      • Webinars
      • In-person events (20-30 travel days per year)
      • E-Learning modules
    • Project management
  • Work directly with the PCAOB team on other special projects, including writing guidance for the Firm manual, developing practice aids and other resources, and additional support
  • Work directly with the A&A Learning Team on other projects such as technical A&A learning content (GAAP and GAAAS), core level training, firm-wide update training, and industry-specific training

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or other relevant field
  • 8 years or more of public accounting experience, Manager or Senior Manager level
  • CPA with experience working on PCAOB audit engagements, including ICFR
  • Familiarity with PCAOB standards and PCAOB inspection process
  • Experience with developing and/or delivering technical A&A content preferred, but not required

Maryland Wage Transparency
Pursuant to Maryland's Wage Range Transparency Law, the salary range displayed is for the Maryland market. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Positions that are non-exempt will be eligible for overtime pay compensable at a rate of one and a half times the hourly rate for any hours worked over 40 in a work week. Benefits are eligibility-based and could include group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
