This role is responsible for assisting the Logistics Team Leader in efficiently operating the warehouse inbound activities and developing associates to satisfy current and future customer requirements. This position is responsible for daily coordinating and utilizing equipment, materials, and people in their work area. - Maintains a safe workplace in accordance with Ecolab and regulatory agency's policies
- Leading and motivating 10-15 peers through recognition and leadership
- Identify the training needs of peersand provide neededtraining
- Know, adhere to, and maintain compliance with FDA, EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations
- Identify process improvement opportunities and work with others to implement
- Forklift Operator for receiving and put-a-way operations asdemand dictates
- Assign, monitor, and audit the work of warehouse operators
- Checking trailers for compliance opportunities
- Coordinate daily shift dock activities to safely and effectively meet the inbound shipment and receiving plan and requirements
- Ensure safety training and completed
- Responsible for housekeeping and 5S
- Yard auditing
- Work effectively in a team environment
Position Details:
- Warehouse location: McDonough, GA
- Shift Availability: 2nd Shift Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm
- Compensation package offered: $25.00 per hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 yearsof manufacturing or warehousing environment experience(shipping and receiving)
- 1 year of leadership in managing and motivating 10-15 employees
- 1 year of working knowledge of inventory systems, WMS, SAP, and MS Programs
- 1 year of stand-up forklift experience and ability to be certified
- 1 year of auditing experience
- 1 year of participating in 5S
- Prior leadership role providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field
- Previous experience in a warehouse, transportation, shipping, and receiving-related capacity
- Previous experience in a customer service position
- Experience with Total Production Management (TPM) & Continuous Improvement Systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask
- Excellent attention to detail, good communication skills, and a team player
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift/carry 50lbs
- Must be able to stand for an extended period
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
