The Manager, Mobile Data and Insights Solutions will collaborate with enterprise architects to transition from the current siloed, non-scalable data/reporting architecture to an enterprise-led, modern data platform to ensure advancement of our analytics and data maturity. The role will demand significant collaboration and partnering internally with the team managing our Enterprise Data Ecosystem.

As a part of the Cox Mobile line of business, the Senior Lead Architect, Mobile Data and Insights Solutions will partner Data Strategy and Engineering to ensure that the defined architecture, solutions designs and products meet the goals of the business while also ensuring alignment with standards and strategic architecture blueprints. Cox Mobile Data and Insights is responsible for building out end-to-end portfolio level reporting across the Cox Mobile line of business. The Mobile line of business is new with a high frequency of new products to be measured. The team vision is to provide a best-in-class capability to enable decision-making and problem solving based on the performance measures of strategic goals. On a tactical level, the Team builds and maintains the ongoing reporting suite of metrics, KPIs and results for the Cox Mobile line of business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide feedback and recommendations to the strategic architecture team to enhance roadmaps and future-state capabilities based on project insights.
  • Assist with design issues that may drive architectural changes.
  • Support the installation and organization of information systems to ensure analytical and operational functionality.
  • Offer architectural advice and consultation to prepare and transform Cox Mobile data sets for insights and reporting.
  • Collaborate with teams to manage rollout schedules and technology releases, aligning with business needs.
  • Recommend technology and process improvements to increase organizational effectiveness.
  • Evaluate operations and programming to identify data management needs and structural improvements.
  • Ensure database implementations comply with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Translate business reporting needs into detailed requirements for engineering teams and assist in identifying and resolving related issues.
  • Design and implement data governance strategies while continuously monitoring and optimizing platform performance.

  • Translate problem statements into data-driven proposals, recommendations, and solutions, aligning stakeholders across functions.
  • Facilitate complex meetings, presentations, and workshops to address critical issues effectively.
  • Act as a recognized subject matter expert, solving high-impact problems that influence major business outcomes.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and sound decision-making under uncertainty, achieving successful resolutions for complex challenges.
  • Operate autonomously, developing innovative solutions for unprecedented situations with minimal guidance.


QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, Engineering or an IT-related field, plus 8 years of work experience. Master's degree and 6 years of experience; a Ph.D. and 3 years' experience; or 12 years' experience in a related field.
  • Significant experience with architecting data used for analytics/insights/business intelligence
  • Microsoft Power BI ( or similar visualization tools) experience including intermediate or better proficiency in capacities, workspaces, dashboards, reports, workbooks, semantic models, DAX queries, dataflows, Power Query, and governance
  • Business Intelligence environment 6 years of experience.
  • Excellent soft skills such as: interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative>skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization
  • Microsoft Power BI experience including intermediate or better proficiency in capacities, workspaces, dashboards, reports, workbooks, semantic models, DAX queries, dataflows, Power Query, and governance


Preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in transforming an organization to a new and modern data ecosystem
  • Strong business acumen that balances strategic initiatives and engineering needs.
  • Proficient in product management processes and principles, with experience using product planning tools such as Kanban and Jira.
  • An effective communicator with a solution-oriented mindset


USD 129,100.00 - 215,100.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $129,100.00 - $215,100.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Benefits:
