TEKsytems is seeking multiple "Critical Facilities Engineers" for a site in Sunland, Estates, WA which requires fully on-site work.
*Top Skills' Details* - 12 hours day shifts (Sun-Wed) & (Sun-Tues) - Rotating shifts, 3,4 or 5 day work weeks (flexible schedule) - Support Electrical infrastructures throughout DC campuses from a single, large-capacity facility similar to the smaller ones - Experience with Building Management Systems (EPMS), Remote Power Panel (RPP) shutdown of 1 source - Previous DC experience, fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code - Preferred Exp, Qualified Electrical Worker, must hold OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certfication * Electrical or Mechanical exp in high availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environment like DCs, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, or related *Job Description* Titles are Electrical focused b/c they know that's the hardest to come by, but they will consider Mechanical CE Techs or Generalists as well, just want some kind of CE technician experience. For 2 of the 5 openings, they're specifically wanting battery experience--large UPS batters (480v+), installing, troubleshooting, tools needed to work on them, familiar with the hazards, etc. They will consider anyone with OSHA certification within the last few years, even if expired. Ideally they have the updated one or will soon, but not critical as long as they're OSHA certification isn't from 15-20 years+ ago. *Job Details:* Take daily operational readings of all electrical equipment through routine rounds/log taking (temperatures, voltages, currents, etc.). Ability to follow operating procedures (SOPs) for critical environment planned work activities. Energize a cabinet in a Colo. Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) preventative maintenance quarterly and annually. System control panel preventative maintenance. Battery preventative maintenance. Assist in the troubleshooting, repair and replacement of instrument sensors and calibration. Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to while performing work and comply with all physical security procedures and policies. Previous datacenter experience a plus. Fundamental understanding of the National Electrical Code. Preferred: Qualified Electrical Worker. Required: Experience with electrical systems in a high availability assembly / manufacturing / critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or related fields. Required: All candidates must hold an OSHA or OSHA-approved NFPA 70E Certification. Required: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Required: 3+ year(s) work/applied learning experience in technical fields (e.g. automotive, electrical, controls, data center). Required: Able to work a flexible work schedule which could include 12-hour shifts, rotating shifts, 3, 4, or 5 day work weeks. Required: Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word). *Additional Skills & Qualifications* - Ability to adhere to flexible schedule, 3, 4 or 5 days/week, 10-12 hour shifts - Ability to handle ambiguous environment and hold self accountable for deliverables *Employee Value Proposition (EVP)* Chance to help drive Data Center expansion and build out initiatives for Microsoft *Work Environment* Fast-paced, critical environment Equipment and Systems Operations * Perform assigned basic tasks (e.g., making rounds, recording building observations, taking measurements) with varying levels of supervision. * Perform various types of maintenance (e.g., planned, predictive, corrective) as assigned following methods of procedure (MOPs), and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
