Position Overview
The KU School of Business is seeking a part-time Education Program Manager to serve as the BBA Program Director. The Director of BBA Programs provides leadership and operational oversight for the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program, with a primary focus on delivering high-quality, online courses that align with the school's mission and objectives. This role involves managing the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of an online curriculum while fostering a supportive and engaging environment for students. The Director collaborates with faculty, staff, and industry partners to enhance the online student experience, optimize program outcomes, and prepare graduates for successful careers in business. This position requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a particular focus on leveraging digital platforms and innovative teaching methods to drive student success in a virtual setting. This position will report to the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs.

This is a regular, .50 FTE, benefits eligible, 12-month staff position. This position is designated as on-campus, with the flexibility to work remotely per School guidelines and KU policy.

Job Description
90% BBA Program Administrator and Course Management: Manage activities related to the BBA Program, including but not limited to:
  • Manage course and instructor scheduling for all BBA classes in coordination with the academic Areas within the School of Business.
  • Manage the partnership with Jayhawk Global and others as appropriate.
  • Work with the student record analyst and academic advisors for BBA students, collaborate with faculty to review course equivalency requests and substitutions.
  • Monitor the quality of all instructional design and delivery of courses within the BBA program and work with instructors and area directors on needed improvements.
  • Act as a representative of the Area/School on relevant curriculum committees.
  • Process the establishment of new courses and course modifications within the BBA Program, working with the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies, Area Directors, and Registrar's office.
  • Update the School's/University's course catalogs as appropriate with new courses and revised course information, including providing necessary information for relevant school oversight committees and the Faculty Assembly.
  • Acquire and process semester-end faculty ratios for AoL and AACSB reporting (coordinate with Administrative Associate assigned AACSB responsibilities).
  • Other duties as assigned by the Associate Dean for Undergraduate Programs.
10% Service and Other Duties:
  • Serve as an active member of School of Business staff, university and professional community.
  • Attend staff and faculty meetings as needed.
  • Participate in school and university wide committees as requested.
  • Perform other duties related to the nature of the position and mission of the School as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  1. Master's degree or a bachelor's degree and five years of related experience.
  2. At least three years of experience in development, management or administration of academic programs, preferably in an online or hybrid learning environment. Experience may be concurrent with above education requirements.
  3. Proven ability to effectively collaborate with others and deliver program objectives as reflected in application materials.
  4. Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead initiatives in a dynamic environment, as demonstrated by application materials.

Preferred Qualifications
  1. Master's degree in Business, Marketing, Higher Education or Public Administration, or in a similar discipline.
  2. Extensive experience in higher education, as demonstrated by application materials.
  3. Experience in developing and implementing marketing strategies to attract and retain online students, as evidenced by employment history.
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills, as demonstrated by application materials.
  5. Knowledge and experience with processes at the University of Kansas School of Business.
