What's The Job?

Title: Support Services Supervisor
Location: Dayton, OH
Salary: $80,000.00 - $84,000.00 per year, depending on experience.
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 6:00AM - 4:30PM

Job Description

Here are just a few things you can expect to do daily:

  • Evaluate the work of those under and make recommendations on ways to improve.

  • Evaluate processes and visit with employees on ways to improve processes.

  • Visit with customers regarding issues in the areas under this Supervisor and how issues can be resolved.

  • Completing inspections and Master Cleaning Schedules electronically.

  • Prioritize/Schedule/Plan sanitation work.

  • Communicate schedules to the teams.

  • Meet with customer on regularly scheduled intervals, and as needed for emergencies, to assess customer needs, define team/employee performance levels and ensure customer satisfaction for assigned areas.

  • Ensure safety of employees and company/customer property, to the greatest degree possible in the field.

  • Assist with interviews for potential employees; make hiring recommendations to HR department.

  • Conduct employee performance reviews. Assist employees with setting immediate work goals and career path goals.

  • Disciplinary actions as needed.

  • Maintain documentation for any employee issues that arise. Keep HR apprised of any potential issues in this area.

  • Review and approve time-off requests. Appropriately schedule employee time off to ensure proper manpower levels. Inform employees of any denials of time off and explain reasoning to them.

  • Ensure tour readiness, including schedules, customer needs, manpower etc.

  • Address all team issues and take appropriate action. Be a continual resource to the teams.

  • Maintain direct on-going communication with other company supervisors to ensure smooth workflow processes.

  • Assist in the development of long-range planning in assist of the company's goals and objectives

  • Accept feedback from others, set goals to improve performance based upon this feedback.

  • Inspires and motivates others to perform well.

  • Exhibit objectivity and openness to others' views.

  • Take care of time off requests

  • Continually look for work improvement processes, i.e., finding better, more efficient ways to achieve work goals and budgeting.

  • Hands-on assistance when short on manpower

  • Continually look for cost savings for the customer and company.

  • Promote company functions and activities. Promote teamwork and unity within the company.

  • Maintain confidentiality for C&W Services and customers of all work-related issues and plans.

  • Assist with maintaining company property, and securing same, i.e., tools, vehicles, break rooms etc.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by company and customer.

  • Education: Possess a high school degree or an approved GED

  • Experience: Must possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in an industrial setting

  • Additional Skills: Good facilitator skills and strong computer skills. Interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization. Ability to lead work within cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to operate forklifts or other vehicles in a safe manner

  • Ability to wear a respirator while performing job duties

  • Communication/ Expression -The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.

  • Information Ordering - The ability to arrange things or actions in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., patterns of numbers, letters, words, pictures, mathematical operations).
