Convergint is looking for a full-time, enthusiastic, results driven and forward-thinking Electronic Security/Remote Administrator to join our amazing culture. The Electronic Security Programmer/Remote Administrator is responsible for configuring, programming, and maintaining electronic security systems to meet corporate and customer needs. This role includes analyzing system performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing custom solutions. The programmer will collaborate with field technicians, customers, and internal teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of electronic security equipment and software. What you'll do with "Our Training and Your Experience"

  • Develop and program electronic security systems, including intrusion alarms, access control, and video surveillance systems.
  • Customize security system settings to meet client requirements, including user permissions and system alerts.
  • Provide remote support for technicians during on-site installations and upgrades.
  • Perform regular updates and maintenance on security databases and control panels.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming errors or malfunctions in electronic systems.


  • Assist field service technicians with advanced troubleshooting and programming.
  • Provide real-time technical guidance to resolve customer issues.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations and modifications.
  • Manage and update central station customer information, including user credentials, access permissions, and alarm response protocols.
  • Analyze system activity reports to identify trends, security vulnerabilities, or performance improvements.
  • Generate detailed reports on programming changes, system upgrades, and customer feedback.


  • Collaborate with customers to define system requirements and provide technical training.
  • Address escalated customer service issues related to electronic security programming.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements and operational standards.


  • Lead programming efforts for large-scale projects, such as system refreshes and upgrades.
  • Coordinate with technicians and project managers to meet deadlines and quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust programming workflows as necessary.


Education and Certifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications in relevant electronic security platforms (e.g., Lenel, Avigilon, Genetec, Honeywell, DMP, Ademco, Bosch, or similar).


Experience/Requirements:



  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in electronic security programming or a related technical role.
  • Proficiency in programming languages or software commonly used in electronic security systems.


    • Must be proficient in core intrusion panel programming


      • DMP, Bosch , Ademco


    • Must have basic knowledge of central station reporting and how to deliver response types appropriately for alarm reporting


  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


Computer Skills:



  • Advanced knowledge of programming tools, security software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with system integration platforms and database management systems.


Additional Requirements:



  • Ability to travel occasionally to support field operations and installations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining system security standards.
