Status: Full-Time (36 hrs/wk)

Overview:

The Medical / Pediatric Unit is a 32-bed unit that houses Med/Surg and Pediatric patients. We see a wide variety of needs. Our patient population come in with CHF, Renal failure, Dialysis, COPD, Pneumonia, chest pain, and we also house Covid. Our pediatric population includes RSV, UTI, oral surgeries and appendectomies.

We have many skills that you would be able to obtain while on the unit. PIV and Foley catheters are common on our unit. We also see PICC lines, PEG tubes and NGT.

Patients are generally here for 2-4 days in acute care. We are very TEAM based and work together to take excellent care of our patients.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).
  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.
  • Physical requirements/demands:
    • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
    • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
    • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
  • Experience: Can be a new or experienced RN
  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
