Are you an experienced Quality Inspector skilled in PCB inspections? Join our growing team in Hauppauge NY! In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting precision parts, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and various other components to ensure compliance with quality standards. You will work under general supervision to support activities aimed at maintaining our ISO9001:2015 Quality Management System. What You'll Do:
- Inspection: Conduct first-piece, lot sampling, and production inspections on PCB boards, electro-mechanical assemblies, and other components, referencing blueprints, specifications, and internal drawings. Use a variety of inspection tools, gauges, and electronic test equipment.
- Visual Inspections: Identify and report mechanical faults and defects through thorough visual inspections.
- Cable Inspection: Inspect ribbon, coax, and military cables to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Approval/Rejection: Approve or reject inspected items based on findings. Document defects and prepare CSR reports for rejected items.
- Quality Documentation: Prepare and implement procedures that support the quality management system. Document findings and generate corrective actions when necessary.
- Internal Audits: Lead internal quality audits, documenting results, and ensuring corrective actions are taken if needed.
- Quality System Maintenance: Ensure the implementation and maintenance of quality procedures in accordance with the Quality Manual.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Quality team to support all activities within the quality control department.
- Reporting: Generate monthly DMR (Discrepancy Material Report) for materials with discrepancies and participate in meetings to review findings and resolutions.

Required Qualifications:
- Technical, trade, or vocational high school graduate or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of mechanical/electrical inspection experience, with the ability to read and interpret complex drawings and military specifications.
- Proficiency in using inspection tools such as Vision Systems, CMM systems, calipers, and various gauges.
- Strong understanding of shop math and the ability to inspect components such as PCB boards for component placement, orientation, and solder quality.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) to document inspections and generate reports.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ISO9001:2015 and maintaining a quality management system.
- A trained eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Ability to identify defects and determine corrective actions to improve quality.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
