banks. We provide environmental mitigation and habitat planning services to
landowners, businesses, government agencies, and land trusts. Our
established industry leaders excel in the field of wetland and endangered
species mitigation services, to create a nationwide habitat mitigation company.
We are currently searching for an
experienced Human Resources Manager at our Sacramento, California office.
The Human Resources Manager will plan, direct, and coordinate
human resource management activities for all Westervelt Ecological Services
locations to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain
functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, policies, and
regulatory compliance.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
-Identify staff vacancies and manage the talent acquisition process, which includes recruiting, interviewing, selecting and hiring qualified job applicants ensuring appropriate matches between personnel and staffing needs.
-Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, salaries, opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
-Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and coordinate with Human Resources Director to recommend needed changes.
-Work with Human Resources Director to analyze compensation to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
-Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives and properly introduce new employee to the corporate culture.
-Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions and helping resolve work-related problems.
-Analyze statistical data and reports to identify and determine causes of personnel problems and develop recommendations for improvement of WES's personnel policies and practices.
-Plan, organize, direct, control and coordinate the personnel, training, and employee relations activities for WES.
-Conduct exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
-Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
-Oversee employee disciplinary actions including disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
-Assure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations in multiple states. Review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or business administration. SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred
- Five to seven years
experience in the field of human resources - Comprehensive understanding of local, state, and federal employment laws in multiple states
- Excellent communication and
relationship building skills - Ability to act with
integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality - Strong interpersonal and
conflict resolution skills - Excellent recruiting skills
- Proficient with Microsoft
Office Suite
The
base salary range for this position is $92,700 - $139,100.
Actual base salary is based on the experience and qualifications of the
selected candidate.
